Mumbai, March 29: Tata Sky Ltd., the joint venture between the TATA Group and STAR, today announced a host of exclusive initiatives to ensure subscribers have an unparalleled television viewing experience during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 tournament. These initiatives include a round-the-clock service guarantee, match highlights available on-demand after the match (even at 4 in the morning!), commentary in regional languages and a special interactive game to engage subscribers.
Keeping in mind that many viewers might not follow the match into the wee hours of the morning, Tata Sky has extended the availability of its highlights on-demand feature up to the morning following the match. And, Tata Sky subscribers can choose from commentary in English, Hindi, Bengali or Gujarati.
To deliver a trouble-free cricket viewing experience to its subscribers, Tata Sky has also introduced round-the-clock service support during the World Cup in 62 towns and cities. This will ensure a 4-hour service turn-around time (even at midnight) should any subscriber have a problem at any time during the match.
Commenting on the new initiatives launched especially for the cricket season, Vikram Kaushik, Managing Director & CEO, Tata Sky Ltd. said, “It is our constant endeavour to offer an unparalleled television viewing experience. Our range of initiatives launched in-tandem with the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 will deliver the best in terms of choice, control and convenience to our subscribers.
A couple of weeks ago, Tata Sky launched a free subscription offer all across India. All consumers, who purchase Tata Sky by 15th April, 2007 will get 3 months of free subscription on up to 4 televisions at their homes. The offer also gives 50 lucky subscribers along with their families, a chance to watch the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 Final with superstar Hrithik Roshan, on 28th April, in Mumbai.
Capitalising on its association with Hrithik Roshan for the cricket tournament, Tata Sky has introduced a new cricket- based game, HRI–TRICK on its ActveTM Games service. This will be offered free to all Tata Sky subscribers.
