Tata Sky launches three new channel packages
Premieres two new BBC channels on the platform
Mumbai, May 3, 2007: Tata Sky Ltd., the joint venture from TATA and STAR, today announced two new initiatives which will offer consumers greater value and choice. The company has introduced three new attractive packages - the Starter Pack, the Super Value Pack and the Western Pack in addition to its existing Super Saver Pack. Two new channels from BBC, CBeebies and BBC entertainment will make their debut across India only on Tata Sky. Shradha MH One, DD Lok Sabha TV and Akash Bangla were also recently launched on the platform.
The Starter Pack, available for Rs. 160 pm, comprises 35 channels including ESPN and STAR Sports along with 2 interactive services (ActveTM Wizkids and ActveTM Games). The Super Value Pack, available for Rs. 250 pm, comprises 71 channels including all popular Hindi, Regional and Sports channels along with 4 interactive services (ActveTM Khabar, ActveTM STAR News, ActveTM Wizkids and ActveTM Games). The Western Pack is priced at Rs. 250 pm and spans over 67 channels covering all English, Regional and Sports channels along with 3 interactive services (ActveTM Newsroom, ActveTM Wizkids and ActveTM Games). The Super Saver Pack spans over 94 channels covering all Hindi, English, Regional and Sports channels along with 6 interactive services (ActveTM Sports, ActveTM Games, ActveTM Wizkids, ActveTM Newsroom, ActveTM Khabar and ActveTM STAR News). It is available for Rs. 300 pm.
