Tata Sky partners with Jalsha Movies, premiers latest Bangla cinema and largest library of premium movies

Kolkata, 15 May 2019: Tata Sky, India’s leading content distribution platform known for offering diverse regional services, launched a new avatar of Tata Sky Bangla Cinema. The service was unveiled by popular Tollywood actor Parambrata Chattopadhyay along with Anurag Kumar, Chief Communications Officer, Tata Sky.

With ever growing popularity for regional cinema, Tata Sky Bangla Cinema aims to bring entertainment for all members of a family on one platform. Partnering with the leading movie content providers –Jalsha Movies, the new version of Tata Sky Bangla Cinema will now premiere the new releases along with popular & premium movies with over 100+ titles across genres at just Rs.1/- per day.

Present at the unveiling, Anurag Kumar, Chief Communications Officer, Tata Sky said, “The Bengali audience is sophisticated in taste and the propensity to consume movies in Bangla is very high. There is a huge percentage of Bengali audience spread across India and we have seen consumption of Tata Sky Bangla Cinema from all these markets. We have hence strengthened our offering with our new partner Jalsha Movies, by featuring premier movies monthly to delight our subscribers. These premier movies will be ad-free and never seen before on Television.”

The service will also showcase a mix of premium blockbuster movies like Amazon Obhijaan, Baadhsahi Angti, Zulfiqar, Rajkahini and other popular movies.

Tata Sky Bangla Cinema service further strengthens the bouquet of regional cinema services for Tata Sky by offering uninterrupted and high-quality entertainment to the growing popularity and demand for regional movie content. As a part of this endeavour, the bouquet already includes Tata Sky Telugu Cinema, Tata Sky Tamil Cinema, Tata Sky Bhojpuri Cinema, Tata Sky Punjab De Rang, Tata Sky Marathi Cinema and Tata Sky Kids Cinema.

Tata Sky Bangla Cinema is available to all subscribers on Channel and 1310 (SD).
